Fried Thanksgiving Turkey has become increasingly popular. Unfortunately though there are many people who still do not know how to do it safely. Common mistakes, like using the wrong kind of oil, frying indoors, not defrosting the turkey, and so forth have led to more fires within the home on Thanksgiving day. As a matter of fact it is reported that there is an average of 2,000 fires in residential buildings on Thanksgiving every year.
According to the U.S. Fire Administration, every year there are an average of 5 deaths, 25 injuries, and $121 million in property damage or loss due to fires. Turkey fryers have contributed to an increase in recent years too.
Therefore if you are planning on frying your turkey this Thanksgiving, I have found an informative instructional video that is only a little over 3 minutes to help you do it safely.
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Frying!
